2010 Porsche Boxster Review and Price

About 2010 Porsche Boxster

The recent releases from the Boxster range has earned a mixed review from critics and actual consumers. Some of them felt that it has somewhat lost that unique Porsche soul that distinguish the auto brand from all other vehicles in the market. However, the 2010 Porsche Boxster offers a lot of surprises and some reliable features that some other Porsche vehicles in the market have delivered thus far.

This new model carries just about the same weight as all other vehicles already launched out there. It is low and light, thus giving the 2010 Porsche Boxster more precision when navigating corners such that it seem as though it has been equipped with a thoroughbred skill. It comes with the ideal weight and resistance needed to turn this traditional transport machine into an everyday racer.

Porsche Boxster 2010 is powered by a 3.4-liter, six-cylinder engine that can deliver maximum of 310 horsepower and 266 lb-ft torque. Needless to say, this vehicle can go fast when it wants to! If you attempt a slow stop though, it does so quite smoothly. Some new features have been incorporated into this vehicle to improve its range of performance features such as launch control. This particular feature enables you to achieve 60 mpg within as little as 5 seconds from a standstill. It has also improved suspension especially for longer rides.

This vehicle is not nearly close to being perfect though. The spec sheet for the 2010 Porsche Boxster indicate that it has an average legroom of 41.6 inches but actual riding experience wasn’t quite as comfortable as one would have hoped. There was also limited space available such that it would even be impossible to stretch your legs. Needless to say, the Boxster did not quite provide the comfort needed or expected of it.

As for the driving power, it is equipped with a seven speed automatic transmission. Don’t be deceived though, it is not an automatic transmission per se. it is only an automated manual to give you more precision over driving capacity.

Pro’s of 2010 Porsche Boxster

*The low and light body delivers efficient handling mechanical, although its superb skill can handle the task quite well;

*Prosche Boxster 2010 escapes through tight corners very efficiently;

*The suspension for this vehicle has been improved;

*The ride is ultra comfortable.

Con’s of 2010 Porsche Boxster

*The design of the body is a bit stiffer, so it won’t be an ideal vehicle on track;

*2010 Porsche Boxster could use a little more legroom.

Pricing Details

Given the reputation of the Porsche, it is really above the class where it belongs to. Hence, you can expect to pay higher for even the base model than most other vehicle models in the market. The cheapest model in the range of the 2010 Porsche Boxster is priced at $47,600 and the most expensive model is really expensive at $58,000.

The Bottom Line

The 2010 Porsche Boxster is not just a regular car, it has become sort of a lifestyle. The Porsche soul is indeed back and bolder! The choice of whether to buy this vehicle or not therefore varies according to personal preference, but it has been made affordable such that a lot more people can live it.
