I own a 2011 Impala LT with the luxury interior and the 3.5. Just drove it to Shreveport from Milwaukee, Wi and averaged 28.1 overall. 30.5 to 32 inbetween gas stations. It is very comfortable, handles very well and has plenty of power. I have read road tests calling this car an ancient dino etc. I really don't understand where these people are coming from- They also state the interior is cheap and the tranny is only a 4 speed. The interior is great, especially the flip and stow option, and the transmission is very smooth and shifts seemlessly. By the way,I also own a C-6 Corvette and a 2011 Hyundai Sonata, which has a buzz saw motor in it,so I think I can speak from experience here. I will buy another one in a few years.

I have been a faithful GM supporter since 1971 when I purchased a 1970 Chevrolet Impala, which by the way was an excellent car. Over the years since then I have owned many GM vehicles. I purchased a 2007 Chevrolet Impala expecting it to live up to its size. In otherwords a large car should have very few warranty problems. However, before 40,000 km. it needed warranty work on the steering. Also, every time we drive to Vancouver from Saskatchewan, it needs brake rotors and pads. It seems the brake system is not adequate for the wieght of the vehicle. Now it is plagued with problems in the strutts. What next??? For my next vehicle I will need to seriously reconsider my choices of vehicle manufacturer.
