2011 Mitsubishi Galant
Before we start rewieving the Galant let us listen to what Mitsubishi has to say about its 2011 Galant. Here it goes
The 2011 Galant is packed with luxury features you will not expect from a car in its price range. From our touchscreen Navigation system with rear view backup camera to our Rockford Acoustic Design audio system, not to mention power sunroof, Galant Delivers an Experience that is a step above the rest.
Now here is the caveat – the features like touchscreen navigation and the rear view camera is available only is the entry level ES model and you will be paying extra in the SE model if you plan to avail of the features described in the Mitsubishi site.
Galant has over the years been able to find loyal customers who know galant as a quality car with power and feature. Mitsubishi has reputation in Japan for its quality and endurance and is the sixth largest car manufacturer of Japan. The Galant model has been in production since 1969. While the original manufacturing was in Japan, Mitsubishi started production in US since 1994.

Trims and Model Variations
The 2011 Mitsubishi Galant comes in Two trims – the ES and the Sports version SE. Both the models come with 2.4-liter, 160-horsepower MIVEC engine. Both have 4-speed Sportronic automatic transmission. The SE version come with some extra features including touch-screen navigation system based upon DVD and rear-view backup camera. The rear view is especially convenient if you reside in an area with kids playing around. The navigation system is probably too expensive for its price and feature it offers. The SE version also has Rockford Acoustic Design audio system and Power glass sunroof – You must take your own decision if these justify the extra price you will be paying for the SE version.
Faced with stiff competition with Honda Accord, Toyota Camry and Nissan Altima, Galant is offered at a competitive price. You will also notice that while Honda Accord and Toyotas sledom reduce their sticker price, Mitsubishi offers serious discounts on its new model and it often makes it a lucrative buy. The base ES model comes at $21,599. If you select SE in place of ES, you are looking for $23,999. There are additional charges for other options that you may select. The most important of these is the leather package that will cost you $1000 extra.
While you may find the Rockford Acoustic Design audio system in the SE version pleasant the normal audio system with 140-watt CD/MP3 audio system and 6 speakers with reasonably good quality.
However, you may like to call the dealers in your area to see what rebates they have in the offer, and you may take the decision based upon their offer.
