2011 Nissan Quest

The new 2011 Nissan Quest is expected to be released by Early 2011. It should be noted that Nissan did not have the 2010 Model of 2010. So any review that is talking about 2010 Nissan Quest is misleading you.

Faced with severe competition Nissan recently launched photos of its forthcoming Quest.

The 2011 Nissan Quest can be seen in the 2010 November Auto show in Los Angeles. With this Nissan expects to start gaining some of the market share in the minivan segment.

2011 Nissan Quest Competitors

Nissan is expected to find tough competition with  2011 Chrysler Town & Country, 2011 Toyota Sienna LE , 2011 Honda Odyssey, Kia Sedona LX, Dodge Grand Caravan SXT, Mazda Mazda 5 Grand Touring, Chrysler  and Volkswagen Routan. The Nissan Quest has the advantage of moderate cost and assurance of decent quality from the Japanese Manufacturer. The Volkswagen Routan, for example, could be out of the reach of the budget minded buyer. Honda Odyssey can be considered the best Minivan, however, it is also expensive one. The Nissan quest could be thought of one with moderate quality and feature and possibly at affordable price.

Quest Mileage

According to the 2009 EPA data ( the 2010 Quest was not released, so the data is not available for the 2010 Nissan Quest Model), the Nissan Quest has a city mileage of 16 miles per galon and a highway mileage of 23 mpg. If you have driven any earlier year model of the 2011 Nissan Quest, you will notice that you can get higher than 23 mpg if you drive a lower speed somewhere around 55 mph in place of the common limit of 65 mph. However, you are more likely to get close to 24 mpg at highway running typically at 65 to 70 miles per hour. The dashboard of Nissan displays the fuel economy and that will help you notice how you are driving with concerns for the fuel. The EPA rating of the Nissan quest is close to other minivans in the category. For example the Volkswagen   Routen has exact same EPA rating as that of the Nissan Quest  ( of course comparing the same year of the model). The Toyota Sienna has slightly better City EPA mileage at 17 mpg. The highway mileage of the Toyota Sienna is same as that of the Nissan Quest ( Again comparing the 2009 model).  It will be interesting to see if there is any change in the 2011 model of Nissan Quest as far as the mileage is concerned.

The details of the 2011 Nissan Quest, except for the pictures are in secret. From the pictures itself it looks like similar to the earlier models.

With 2011 model Nissan will be entering in its fourth generation Minivan. It is learned that these will be built in Japan in its Shatai Kyushu plant. It is expected  that the Nissan Quest will be powered by the VQ37VHR which will give 300 horse power. It will have standard front wheel drive.

It should be noted that, in Japan, the name of the similar model id Nissan Elgrand. The Elgrand and the Quest are expected to share the same manufacturing platform and may have slight styling differences.

Nissan has finally come out with a new model ‘Quest’. This model has many competitors but the exceptionally new design and the refinement in the engine gives Nissan an upper hand over all others.
