2012 Bentley Continental GT Review and Prices

Bentley, the name itself striking a different chord in the minds, has been traditionally associated with extreme high end luxury cars and recently even with the British Royals. The Bentley Continental GT happens to be a 2 door “two plus two” grand touring coupe and really lives up to the classic style and ultra modern luxury. And another forthcoming attraction is the 2012 Bentley Continental model which might just succeed its current self.

With a style statement of its own, the 2012 Bentley Continental GT, will be revamped on its looks and interiors refurbished to exceed the already defined luxury mark. 2012 Bentley Continental GT gets the freshly designed set of wheels measuring 20 inches with 5 spokes as well as the redesigned frontal air inlet ducts and new headlamps which offers bolder look to the car. The vehicle comes with excellent architecture on front boot lid and side wings built with aluminium super forming with unique day time running LED headlights. It gets the horseshoe like rear design.

Under the frontal metal hood, 2012 Bentley Continental GT gets the power through the latest assembly of 6 liter twin turbo engine and 12 cylinders with DOHC (Double OverHead Camshaft) technology used in valvetrain. This assembly is powered to produce the momentum of 567 horsepower at 6000 rpm and the torque level of 516 lb.ft. at 1700 rpm. 2012 Bentley will also offer the choice of smaller version of engine with the assembly of 4 liter and V8 engine. The vehicle is coming with its unique FlexFuel technology. This technology helps to reduce emission of carbon dioxide by 70 percent.  The engine is designed to give the top speed of 318 km/h, as it is mated with 6 speed gearbox with automatic transmission and works on all wheel drive technology. With this AWD technology the torque is distributed between front and rear axle in the ratio of 40:60. It also gets the upgraded ESC (Electronic Stability Control) system which offer added grip while driving. The engine is capable to work on petrol or E85 bioethanol or even both.

2012 Bentley Continental GT offers better performance with mileage of 11.1 miles per gallon on city roads and around 24.9 miles per gallon on highways.

The interior of 2012 Bentley Continental GT comes with the stylishly designed soft touch Cobra designed four seat accommodation with completely hand crafted interior. The combination of soft leather and wood gives it a polished look. Even the doors are lined with leather stowage bins incorporated with bottle holders. Each passenger gets the luxury of massage system at 10 massage points for each individual. To avoid internal collision, the interior is loaded with wide range of airbags to prevent from internal collision. The front seats offer legroom of 46mm for rear seat passenger. Additionally, the dashboard gets the bold looks with premium soft touch leather wrap. The dashboard is mounted with touch screen navigation system with Google maps.  The navigation system uses disc player and a 30 GB hard disc drive to access the route. The audio system is supported with 8 speakers with balanced radiator technology to offer the premium pleasure of music.

2012 Bentley Continental GT is on the way of launch by October 2011. Though the prices are still under wraps, the sculpture is designed to give good value for money and pleasure to car enthusiasts.
