2012 Toyota Camry Review and Prices

About 2012 Toyota Camry

The Toyota Camry model series made its quiet debut in the market in the year 1983. Since then, the series has gone a long way and replaced the old Corona model that is built with a rear-wheel drive system with this new front-wheel drive system. This car is made specifically in the US but has also earned its international acclaim with the generally positive reviews earned by the various releases in the past. So, the 2012 Toyota Camry is at an interesting point in the series wherein the manufacturers are trying to showcase new features to renew interest in this dominant series for the past decade or so.

The newest model to come out of the series is built with a mid-sized four door sedan that is equipped with a front wheel drive system. The 2012 Toyota Camry will also stick with the traditional trim level choices: base, LE, sporty SE, and the luxurious XLE. The impressive thing about the vehicles out of this range is that even the standard model is built with a hefty amount of features. Thus, you can expect the following features: stability air control, full power accessories, tilt and telescope steering wheel, cruise control, air conditioning unit, satellite radio, Bluetooth, and six speaker audio system.

The base engine employed for the 2012 Toyota Camry is a 2.5-liter inline-4 engine that can deliver up to 169 horsepower. Meanwhile, the SE version comes with the same engine but can produce up to 179 horsepower. There are two transmission choices for the base model: six-speed manual and six-speed automatic. The estimated fuel economy rating for all models in the series averages 33 mpg on the city and 34 mpg on the highway, which are both impressive ratings.

On the inside, auto consumers will be pleased with the spacious cabin design, giving it the quality of a plush ride. However, some meticulous consumers might not be happy to discover the use of plastic on the interiors and the inconsistent finish.

In the Camry the exhaust and muffler system is hanging too low from the car’ body. Aesthetically poorly designed.
