It has been a while since Acer Aspire AS5742Z-4685 the notebook from the Asian Tiger has been launched. This 15.6” puppy comes with an attractive mesh black color and is priced at $490 dollars Amazon. It has amazing connectivity and media features that are bound to catch your eye. The laptop has dimensions of 9.9” X 15” X  1.3” and weight of 5.74 pounds. The slender finish with rounded sides makes it really appealing. The mess black finish reduces the scratch and fingerprints.     Thunar is the default file manager for Xfce desktop, Nautilus is the default file manager for Gnome, at least up to 2.x. One feature *I* really missed when trying out lxde edition of Mint, was samba browsing. I had to “sudo apt-get install gigolo”.
