Athlon ii P360M is an entry level dual core notebook processor clocked at 2.30 GHz. How does it perform against the core i3-350M, the 2.26 GHz dual core processor ?

– Both the processors have integrated memory controller, that reduces the memory latency increases the processor to memory transfer rate.

– Both of them have high speed differential bus for processor to chipset communication. The AMD’s P360 has HyperTransport while the Core i3-350M had DMI Bus.

– The core i3-350M has integrated graphics unit that P360 does not has. It is nice to have integrated graphics for a decent entry level graphics performance. It help reduce the system cost.

– The P360 has weakness in the cache memory structure. It has 256 KB of L1 cache and 1MB of L2 Cache. The core i3-350M has 3 MB of L3 cache.

In the table below we have captured the benchmark scores of the Athlon ii P360 and the Core i3-350M.
