AMD Athlon II X3 processor 450 Review
AMD Athlon II X3 450 is new processor for desktop which has operating speed of 3.2GHz. The model number is ADX450WFGMBOX and CPU part number is ADX450WFK32GM. AMD Athlon II X3 450 processor is triple core processor which mean it has 3 cores and each core shares 512KB of L2 cache thus total L2 cache is 1.5MB. The cache latency for L1 cache is 3 and L2 cache is 15.
AMD Athlon II X3 processor 450 is built with 45nm lithography technology (SOI) and it packed with 938-pin organic micro-PGA . It houses in AM3 socket which is only supported socket for the processor. The code name of the processor is Rana and it has 64bit instruction set. The die size is 166 mm square.
AMD Athlon II X3 processor 450 processor directly connects with RAM through 144bit DDR2/DDR3 Integrated memory controller which operates at the frequency of 667GHz. So max memory speed it supports will be 1366MHz. Athlon II X3 processor 450 supports both DDR2 and DDR3 memory. The Floating point unit of the processor is integrated. The core stepping is C3 and stepping codes it supported AADHC AD and NADHC AD. The 16 bit hyper transport link makes connection between processor and chipset. The HT link transfer data with 2000MHz speed thus effective SB speed is 4000MHz.
The core Voltage range for AMD Athlon II X3 450 processor is 0.85V – 1.4V. The TDP of AMD Athlon 450 is 95watt . It can create a lot of heat so good cooling agent needed to control down the temperature. The processor is integrated with many software and cooling device to keep the temperature optimum. The technology are Cool’n’Quiet, AMD CoolCore and AMD Smart Fetch and devices are cooling devices are heat sink and fan. The maximum supported temperature for Athlon II X3 450 processor is 75 °C.
The processor supports number of Advance technology like AMD Direct Connect Architecture which supports future 64bit application as well as 32bit applications. AMD Athlon II X3 450 allows user to work with multiple operating systems in same machine.
The benchmark of AMD Athlon II X3 450 is still unknown we will update it later on.
