The AMD Phenom ii X2 565 is a dual core processor at nominal clock frequency of 3.4 GHz. The Phenom ii X2 565 in an unlocked Black edition part and bumps up the frequency of its predecessor Phenom ii X2 560 by 100 MHz. It is however, $10 more expensive than its predecessor.

AMD Phenom II X2 565 is has 512KB of L2 Cache for each core and it boasts a shared 6MB L3. The Phenom ii X2 565 is priced competitively at $112. The processor should be delight for overclockers and gamers who wish to take advantage of the overclocking facility.


The Phenom ii 565 has 667 MHz dual channel Integrated Memory  controller. It communicates with the chipset using the 2 GHz, HyperTransport Bus. The processor fits in AM2+ as well as AM3+ socket, So you can use the same old motherboard. It can take in DDR2 or the DDR3 RAM.
