If we are to believe AMD, here are the timelines for the Launch of the Bulldozer, which according to the chipmaker stays on track

– The bulldozer has been taped out in Q2 2010
– The bulldozer processor samples have been provided to the partners in Q4, 2010
– The production of the bulldozer processors is expected to begin in Q2 2011
– Widespread availability of bulldozer is expected in Q3 of 2011

The 2012 CES show in January 2012 should be making headlines with the bulldozer processor and the systems based upon the bulldozer processor.

It will be interesting to see how Intel responds with the Ivy Bridge. The Sandy Bridge looked promising, but unfortunately the Sandy Bridge brings performance only in the GPU area. we do not see ant breakthrough in the processor section.
