Aspire One A0522-BZ897 Netbook Review

Asire One A0522-BZ897 netbook is the first netbook with AMD Fusion APU. This netbook runs on AMD C-50 “Ontario” chip incorporating 1GHz Dual-Core processor. This netbook got buolt-in ATI Radeon HD 6250 Graphics and HD video decoder supporting 1080p content. These features are indicating perfect entertainment experience through this latest AND Fusion based netbook. This netbook comes with 1GB DDR3 RAM and 250GB hard drive. Importantly, its battery backup is huge and offer 6-hours battery life for netbook through its 6-cell battery pack. This laptop weighs jus 2.87 lbs and sported with one built-in 1.3-megapixel webcam. This netbook’s chassis design is almost as same as earlier Aspire One models.

AMD C-50 “Ontario” Chip Details:

AMD C-50 Ontario processor, that powers Aspire One A0522-BZ897  is one of the AMD’s Fusion family members. This can be compared easily with Intel’s Dual-Core Atom N550 in many aspects. This Ontario chip consumes just 9w of power. This processor is bundled with ATI Radeon 6310 graphics to ensure good graphics performance. This processor is the best ideal one for tablets according to AMD. It is dual-core processor with a clock speed of 1 GHz. Its memory controller is very simpler and offers limited features only.

    Umm…actually you can upgrade the ram to 4gb. Although, there’s only one slot. You can play plenty of games on this bad boy. I would sugget anyone interested hit up youtube for some vids of the games it can run. This machine is quite impresive, especially at the price. Now if only ASUS would release the damn 1015B…geesh.
