ASUS versatile series of laptops are really good when it comes to choose an all rounder laptop. They are affordable not burn a hole in your pocket. ASUS A52F-X3 is one of them. Available at price of $610-$625 it would not only perform your daily task but you can enjoy video at high definition environment in your leisure time as well. It is windows 7 based system. Here is the detail specification of the ASUS A52F-X3.

Processor- ASUS A52F-X3 powered by intel core i3-350 processor. I have already posted a short review about Intel core i3-350M processor at HP Pavilion dv6-3037sb review. However I would like to repeat it again here as well. Core i3-350M processor works at the speed of 2.26GHz and has two cores. But it lacks in Intel Turboboost technology so you can’t over clocked. Due to Hyperthreading technology, each core processes two thread simultaneously. So, 2 core processes 4 thread simultaneously. Thus, provide good performace. It has 3MB of Level 3 or L3 cache.

The RAM is of 4GB DDR3  available in 2 slots. If any one needs more memory then he or she can upgrade it up to 8GB

Graphics option comes with Intel GMA HD graphics which can decode HD content. You can play some old games at low setting. You can play Sims 3, Dota on  warcraft frozen throne or other similar specs game. Another disadvantage of Intel GMA HD graphics is it is onboard graphics and need system memory. For smooth playing, graphics card with dedicated graphics memory are preferable.

ASUS A52F-X3 comes with 320GB hard drive space with 5400 rpm speed.

The display size of ASUS A52F-X3 laptop is 15.6”. When resolution of display concerned it comes 1366*768 in 16:9 aspect. The display is HD LED backlit widescreen.

Sound of the ASUS laptop is enhanced by Altec Lansing speakers.

When connectivity is matter of concern, it comes with lots of inspiring features like optical drive, 0.3 megapixel integrated camera, 3 USB 2.0 port, HDMI port, VGA port, 4 in 1 media card reader and optical drive ( DVD writer)

Wireless networking supported by 802.11 b/g/n and for wired support and it will comes with 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet

A52F-X3 from ASUS comes with multitouch touchpad , dedicated numeric keypad and matte finish cover

The battery comes with 6 cell battery with 48.84Whrs

Pros of A52F-X3

HDMI port

High definition support

Cons of ASUS A52F-X3

No Bluetooth

If you compare it with similar specs laptop like hp Pavilion dv6-3037sb you will found no such disappointment associated with the laptop.

Final thought

At $625, ASUS gives a impressive number of features with its ASUS A52F-X3. The palm detection technology helps you to effortless writing without any typing error. However I wish if hard drive space should be at least 500GB. However the laptop doesn’t have Bluetooth support but if you need a laptop of similar spec with Bluetooth support you can take a look at hp pavilion dv6-3037sb. From price point of view ASUS A52F-x3 is much cheaper than its hp competitor. You can save approx $150 bucks if you don’t need Bluetooth.
