The ASUS N53SV-SX138V is the latest high end notebook from Asus, powered by the Intel’s latest Sandy Bridge quad core i7-2630qm ( 2 GHz) processor. One of the most remarkable thing is the huge 8 GB of RAM that ASUS N53SV-SX138V  comes with, though, in most circumstances, you will be using nowhere close to the 8 GB. Other remarkable aspect of the  ASUS N53SV-SX138V is the graphics and display section which makes this notebook good for moderate to high end gaming – It is driven by GeForce GT540M from Nvidia and you can watch the content on the HDMI . You can also play Blu Ray Discs on this notebook.

As you can see from the specifications, it has everything to make a high end computing machine that can also be used for gaming. The only possibly missing thing is the higher resolution screen. Normally you will expect a full HD resolution in a high end display. However, it should not be noticeable in a 15.6 inch LCD screen.

The core i7-2630qm, that powers the ASUS N53SV-SX138V is the latest Sandy Bridge processor clocked at 2.0 GHz ( note that there are 4 cores). It has a large 8 MB cache and its turbo function further boosts the performance. The integrated memory controller in the

The USB 3.0 is a nice, and timely feature in ASUS N53SV-SX138V . It is helpful, in case you are connecting an external hard disk. The data speed will be lightening fast. USB 3.0 is theoritically 10 times faster than the USB 2.0, which is itself pretty fast at 480 Mbps.

The Blu Ray ROM and the HDMI output combination can be used to play a Blu Ray disk on an external LCD Display. This makes ASUS N53SV-SX138V a full mutimedia notebook.

Other features are something that almost all notebooks that come today have. This includes the Gigabit ethernet, the wired and wireless networking. It also has a 2 Megapixel webcam integrated into the LCD bezel.
