Athlon ii P360 Vs Core 2 Duo T7500
While AMD’s Athlon ii P360 lacks performance as compared to the more recent Arrandale based Core i3 and the Pentium P6100 processor, they are comparable in performance with the Core 2 processors. In today’s sense these can be categorized as entry level dual core processor clocked. The Table does point out that the Athlon ii P360 is inferior to the Core 2 Duo T7500, even when the core 2 Duo T7500 is 100 MHz slower than the Athlon ii P360.
Some notes on the Architectural differences in the Athlon ii P360 and the Core 2 Duo T7500
– The Athlon ii P360 has integrated memory controller while the Core 2 Duo T7500 does not has one. The Integrated memory controller does help a bit, but not enough.
– Athlon ii P360 has 1 MB of L2 Cache while the T5800 has 4 MB of L2 Cache. This is what makes a big differen.ce
– The Athlon ii P360 communicates with the North Bridge chip with fast differential HyperTransport bus. This is faster than the front side bus of the Core 2 Duo T7500.
