Some more details of Athlon ii X2 250
The Athlon ii X2 250 – the dual core 3.0 GHz processor promises decent performance with 1 MB Cache memory for each of its two cores. Notable feature includes compatibility with the ubiquitous AM2+/AM3 based motherboards, the low cost of the processor and fast HyperTransport Bus for chipset communication. The processor has integrated memory controller and is able to beat some of the Intel’s Pentium E8xxx series processor even when costing less. On the downside the highest supported memory frequency is DDR3-1066 which could have improved to at least 1333 if not DDR3-1600.
