If it is a desktop computer you are talking about, then it can use either integrated graphics of motherboard or it can use a separate/dedicated graphics card. Or both of them can be used as the same time. If it has both we should verify which needs to process once.

For laptops, if you get a laptop that has a special dedicated graphic card, then that card replaces whatever would be standard for the laptop. Graphics works differently in laptops. In many laptops we can’t remove them or anything like a PC.

Hi there , we know that Core i5 has been intergrated with HD graphic chipset and supports the playback of the High definition video and also some medium-consuming video games such as WoW. btw, it performs poor when it comes to heavy demanding games such as vice city (even if it runs but on medium-high quality)and also other resource hogging game. If you plan to use separate graphic’s card, checkout the ATI HD 5850 and the also NVIDIA graphic cards. As per my opninion , intergrated graphic cards are not that good and can be good for just playing blu-ray HD movie and surfing the internet. Keep some money for buying other powerful graphic card other than the intel intergrated HD graphic
