Canon, one of the respected names in professional and consumer photography camera makers, has introduced the EOS 60D digital SLR camera with vast improvements over its predecessor, the 50D. The brand new entrant boasts some new and unique features promising to take the photography to another level.

It is the mid level digital SLR with pop-up flash. The massive 18 megapixel canon EOS 60D DSLR with 1.6 times magnification takes the first position to possess eye-catching flipping LCD screen of 3 inches. This unique feature is more advantageous for professional photographers. As it allows photographers to capture picture of any difficult angle. It can be easily used even on a tripod stand. It is designed with the dimensions of 145 x 106 x 79 mm weighing around 755 gms. Its body is built using polycarbonate.

The device has a unique live view finder technology that offers ample space to capture scenes and shoot video clips even in low light. All the Canon EOS 60D devices have a 3-inch LCD view finder with TruBlack Technology which offers full exposure. This enables the user to continue shooting even in dull light as the sharpness of the picture is still retained in dull light.

Imaging processor possessing the Digic 4 technology has the capacity to generate higher output of 5 frames per second giving 58 JPEG images of higher resolution which seems lesser for professional photographer. Additionally, the EOS 60D has video crop technology. This feature enables the user to trim the picture scene to standard resolution level of 640 X 480 pixel thereby magnifying the picture approximately by 7 times.

Canon presents the unique 60D base version with EF lens at the approximate price of $1099. Whereas, EOS 60D possessing EF-S lens comes with a price tag of $1399. Canon EOS 60D also offers battery grip at the rate of $270.
