Canon FS30 Digital Camcorder is the new camcorder costing 300 dollars manufactured by Japanese multinational giant and global market player in the field of electronics products. The users for paying 300 dollars gets Canon FS30 Digital Camcorder, battery pack BP – 808, USB and stereo video cables, owner’s manual, compact power adapter, Pixela ImageMixer 3SE software CD ROM and Music CD. The optical zoom provided by this camcorder measures 37 times the actual object and the digital zoom extends up to 2000 times the actual object. There is a 2.7 inch LCD display on the Canon FS30 Digital Camcorder using which the user can play the recently captured video and see the same.

There are also speakers integrated on the FS30 camcorder which helps in the reproduction of the captured audio while the user watches the video on the LCD display that is available. The 0.166 inch CCD image sensor captures clear images. The 680K pixel total video resolution offered by this camcorder the camera resolution is 0.45 MP for wide range and 0.36 MP in tele mode. 16 : 9 Zoom format with advanced zoom and the video snapshot mode captures 4 seconds clips. DIGIC DV II image processor takes care of the noise reduction and stabilizes the color of the captured images thus providing the user with good quality images.

Canon FS30 Digital Camcorder has Electronic Image stabilization technology in place which adjusts the image for better quality automatically and provides the user with good clarity, clear image with good sharpness. There are preprogrammed automatic expose modes available in this camcorder namely sunset, auto, fireworks, spotlight, portrait, landscape, sports, beach, snow and night. These modes help the user capture good pictures and videos according to the environment that they are in.

Prerecord mode is also available in Canon FS30 Digital Camcorder  which records 3 seconds of video to the memory even before the user presses the record button. There is also this quick start mode feature which helps the user conserve the battery and improves the startup time. Digital still mode is available which allows the user to capture up to 0.45 mega pixel images.

The dual shot mode feature is also available in Canon FS30 Digital Camcorder which allows the user to take still images and record videos in parallel without switching the mode of operation. There is 8 Giga bytes of internal flash memory available, the user can record the content to the internal memory or to the external media card by inserting the same into secured digital card slot. The recording speeds include SP, LP and XP. There are no water proof features, touch screen features or high definition recording features either. There is a microphone to capture audio. The audio recording is digital how ever and the user can record things in Dolby digital channel 2.0. This is a simple and efficient camcorder to have.
