Some more details of Athlon ii X4 640
The AMD’s Athlon ii X4 640, the quad core desktop processor has been highly praised in media and compared extensively with similar performing Intel processors to arrive at a common conclusion that it is a formidable competitor that beats in price for the performance that it offers. It fits in the AM2+/AM3 socket based motherboards and works well with the DDR2 as well as DDR3.
Some more details of Phenom ii X4 840
For just $102, the quad core Phenom ii X 4 840 promises an impressive performance. Clocked at an impressive 3.20 GHz, and launched in Jan 2011, the processor extends the competitive life of the Phenom ii X4 800 series and keeps it competitive against similarly priced Intel processors including the low end Sandy Bridge Core i3 processors

Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 Vs Pentium Dual-Core E6300
These two processor compete neck to neck, and even though E7500 is priced substantially higher, it does not turn out to be as fast as one would think. We expect that Intel will phase this processor over the time, otherwise the customers will phase it out.
It is time to focus on the Intel’s new Sandy Bridge Architecture.

Core 2 Duo E7500 Details
The Core 2 Duo E7500 is slightly overpriced compared to the performance is provides ( $113 according to Intel, at the time of writing). We have some sub $100 Athlon ii quad cores processors that can easily beat E7500 in performance. The lack of Integrated Memory controller chokes the processor to memory communication. Overclockers may be able to get some more juice out of it.
Some more details of Pentium Dual-Core E6300
The dual core Pentium E6300 is low cost ( $74) processor that competes in its price range with AMD’s dual core Athlon ii and Phenom ii clocked about the same. The Pentium E6300, does not come with integrated memory controller. Its FSB at 1066 MHz creates bottleneck in memory as well as south bridge communication. The main charm of this processors seems to be its low price ( though its big brothers E6500 and E6700 seem more attractive). None of the Sandy Bridge processors launched ( even the entry level low clocked i3s) come in as low price range as this one

Some more details of AMD Phenom II X6 1100T
The Hex Core Phenom ii X6 1100T is a low cost gaming / high performance processor that currently competes with the Intel’s 1st and second generation core i5 and core i7 processor. It has been a while since the processor has been launched and gamers are using it for building systems on their existing AM2+/AM3 socket motherboard. With a good gaming card the the 1100T, you may be able to give your existing motherboard a good life. The 2nd gen Sandy Bridge, however, has widened the gap and we have to wait with finger crossed on the new developments. If AMD delays too much this time, it may be going of biz soon.
Some more details of Core i7-950
The Core i7-960 comes under the category of high performance desktop processor. It is somewhat overpriced, for the performance it provides, for example, when compared to AMD’s hex core 1090T. Newer Sandy pridge processor may be worth considering given some architectural advantage

Some more details of Phenom ii X4 P960
Phenom ii X4 P960 should be good if your application need multi threads running in parallel. In single threaded applications, its performance may not turn out to be as great. Intel’s dual Core i5 and even some core i3 processors ( take a look at core i3-380M), should surpass in performance.
Some more details of Core i5-540M
The core i5-540M is a Mid level moderate performance notebook processor with impressive performance as evident by its benchmark results.
The integrated GPU provides entry level graphics performance. The GPU supports independent turbo boost with maximum turbo frequency of 766 MHz with a base frequency of 500 MHz.The Core i5-540M does support the AES instructions and Intel Trusted Instructions (in addition to V-td). The the core i5-5xxM processors have higher turbo frequency compared to the corresponding core i5-4xxM parts, giving it an edge.
