Compaq CQ56-201NR is powered by the Intel Pentium T4500 – a dual core processor at 2.30 GHz. The Compaq CQ56-201NR was announced as the President’s day special at $329 on Fry’s. Frys has limited the number of the notebooks that you can to 1 per household.

Update April 1 2011 – The price has been further reduced to $288 at Frys. It is not April Fool – check out http://www.frys.com/product/6516403.

Do you know ? – The 2.3 GHz Intel Dual Core T4500 outsmarts the AMD’s Athlon ii P340 – the dual core processor at 2.2 GHz.

Compaq CQ56-201NR comes with 2 GB of DDR2 RAM and a 250 GB Hard Disk. The graphics is powered by the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M.

Compaq CQ56-201NR comes with 15.6 inch screen at a resolution of 1366 x 768. The display is crisp and nice.

Compaq CQ56-201NR comes with all other options that you will expect in an entry level notebook. It has DVD writer, wired and wireless networking feature in addition to the 3 USB ports.

Compaq CQ56-201NR boasts high 5+ hours of battery life. The only downside of the Compaq CQ56-201NR is that it does not come with webcam, and if this is one of your must have requirements, you may like to check other notebooks. But, at $329, this is still a good deal.

If this Compaq Presario does not have a webcam, then how is my cousin using her’s and we have the same computer? And also if it is not a webcam then why does the manual that came with it say that it is? I have a big issue with this. These computers need to be altered because it looks like a web cam when people see that it is not, then you guys are going to have alot computers returned.
