Compaq Presario CQ62-413NR laptop Review

Compaq Presario CQ62-413NR is a budget laptop sported with a budget single core processor AMD V-Series V-160 which is clocked at 2.40 GHz. Apart from the processor, rest all features are decent and works towards the effective performance of this budget laptop. This notebook weighs just 5.5 lbs and assuring easy portability too. It is outstanding deal to get all these best features at budget price from a prestigious notebooks manufacturer Compaq.

If you plan to buy this notebook, we warn some keyboard issue, which applies not only to CQ62-413NR but all the CQ62 series notebooks. First the bottom left key is not a Ctrl Key, it is instead a Caculator key. So, if you are used to pressing Ctrl Key at the bottom left, you end up seeing a pop up on the screen. Secondly the on pad left and and right clicks of the mouse pad are hard. They do not make a clicking like sound. Lastly the keyboards are not raised and therefore gives a poor typing experience.

I’ve yet to try on the flows so I can’t say much about it but you’re right about the connect’s having less rubber on the outsoles. My connects are so badly scuffed it surprised me. I only use it mostly as a race shoe and hardly for training. Strangely the GOrun’s have much more durable outsoles even though it rides way softer than the connects, maybe a little too soft even.

I got the compaq presario cq62 while doing my masters and my dual core hp 530 crashed. It has served me pretty well except the one key clip breaking off when I cleaned too hard. However on return to Nigeria, it suddenly crashed and I’ve not been able to get a replacement processor which is suspected of the reason why it doesn’t work.
