Core 2 Duo E7500 Vs Core 2 Duo E8400 Comparison by Starred Reviews

The 2 Core 2 Duo E8400 is significantly more expensive than the E7500 which does not justify the small performance gain it was found to provide. The E8400 as a huge Cache memory, but in real world it does not make as much of difference as Intel would think.

Some more details of Core 2 Duo E7500

The Core 2 Duo E7500 is slightly overpriced compared to the performance is provides ( $113 according to Intel, at the time of writing). We have some sub $100 Athlon ii quad cores processors that can easily beat E7500 in performance. The lack of Integrated Memory controller chokes the processor to memory communication. Overclockers may be able to get some more juice out of it.

Some more details of Core 2 Duo E8400

The Intel’s Core 2 Duo E8400 is rather expensive for the performance it provides. Based on older architecture, it does not has Integrated memory controller, which slows dows the processor to memory speed. Fortunately, larger 6 MB cache makes up for most of the long memory latency. The more recent 2nd generation Core ix Sandy Bridge processor has almost made the processor irrelevant for new purchases. You will easily find many sub $100 Athlon ii and Phenom ii quad core processors beating this chap in benchmarks
