The performance of the integrated graphics has seen a significant improvement. The newer Turbo 2.0 further improves the performance, increasing Intel’s lead over AMD.

The core i5-25400M is a relatively fast processor belonging to the 2nd generation Intel Core i5 processor. The most characteristic improvement as compared to the 1st generation Intel Sandy Bridge processors is in the area of Integrated graphics powered by the Intel HD Graphics 3000 core. Integrated graphics is a part of the silicon and not a separate discrete component or a card. The base frequency of the graphics runs at 650 MHz that can extend to 1.20 GHz depending upon the demand. The new Turbo boost 2.0 in the core i5-2520M significantly improves the performance of the processor. Communication with the chipset is using fast differential DMI Bus.

    The Core i5-480M has a maximum DDR3 speed of DDR3-1066 which is improved upon to DDR3-1333 – This will lead to processor to memory speed increase.

    But this processor is expensive.
