About 2013 Corvette C7

Although the 2012 model has yet to hit the showrooms, General Motors is already prepping up the next generation 2013 Chevrolet Corvette C7. There are lots of speculations as to the features or changes incorporated here. Production for the 2013 Corvette C7 model is said to begin in April 2012 and has tons of promise for its loyal consumers. To find out what you can expect, you can get more details from the review below.

One thing that is confirmed with the 2013 Corvette C7 is that it will be equipped with the Stingray concept. This premium sporty and performance car could be the last of the traditional and old-style Corvettes that GM introduced into the market a long time ago. However, don’t expect it to be of soft-pedal performance either. There is a bunch of strategic redesign and changes here that is believed to be highly comparable to the C6.

The 2013 Corvette C7 will retain the 4-wheel independent suspension featured in the C6 along with an aluminum unequal-length A arms for each corner. The manufacturer has also incorporated a new electric-motor steering assist to deliver more fuel economy as compared to traditional hydraulic booster. What you can expect with this model is the use of four-wheel ABS disc brake, although you can expect it to be somewhat enlarged. Other notable features incorporated in this new vehicle includes the Magnetic Selective Ride Control absorber, Active Handling stability system, and the Launch Control, which was introduced in the 2010 Corvette model.

The interior for the 2013 Corvette C7 will also aim to improve on the faults of the C6 wherein it will introduce cabin upgrade. You can also expect changes in the trim, door panels, and seating. All the other comfort and convenient features of the C6 will be carried over to this model but you can get an optional navigation system as an added feature.

Moving over to the vehicle performance, the 2013 Corvette C7 will offer 3 engine options. The first option is a 6.2-liter V8 engine with up to 460 horsepower and 460 lb-ft torque. The second option is a 7.0-liter V8 engine with up to 570 horsepower and 525 lb-ft torque. And lastly, you can get the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine with up to 700 horsepower and 630 lb-ft torque. You can also get a couple transmission choices, which is the six-speed manual and automatic transmissions.

Pro’s of 2013 Corvette C7

*Powerful engine option;

*Distinctive styling that draws attention;

*Drop in weight delivers more fuel economy;

*Comfortable and convenient interior features.

Con’s of 2013 Corvette C7

*Changes incorporated here could come at a costly price.

Pricing Details

Based on the current features confirmed for the 2013 Corvette C7, the estimated pricing for this model will range between $51,400 with the most expensive model at $109,000.

The Bottom Line

The 2013 Corvette C7 is going to represent the future for the vehicle series, not just in terms of style but basically what it can do on the road. It will also combine the traditional classic route with its iconic Corvette Sting Ray coupe but this is certainly going to be for the better.

Kodak EasyShare C195 Review

August 31st, 2010 31 comments

The Kodak EasyShare C195 is one of the few decent cameras under $80.  The price noted on Walmart as well as Amazon were both $79 at the time of writing.  Buying online Vs in store is a matter of personal choice.  My personal preference is buying at store unless buying online promises a substantial price advantage.

Kodak EasyShare C195 digital camera comes with 5X optical Zoom in 35mm format and 5X advanced digital zoom that covers a focal range of  35mm to 165mm. Most of the cameras in this price range come with only 3x optical zoom and while we can not regard it as suitable for professional wide-angle photography, it is certainly decent enough.

The sensor of Easyshare C195 is CCDs sensor and is 1/ 2.3 inches in size which is generally common for all digital compact camera or point to shoot camera.

Do you know ?

A higher megapixel does not necessarily translate into a better camera. The Image sensor size is more important parameter to look for when buying a camera – Read the Megapixel Myth and the importance of Camera Sensor Size.

The camera comes with 14 megapixels ( effective), however sensor consist of 14.5 megapixels

Now some concerns – The Camera takes in AA battery. Whether you use Alkaline batteries or the rechargeable one is upto you. The Alkaline one drains fast and it cost money every time you go to buy them. But these are ubiquitous and cheap. A big note – you will need to buy a set of the AA chargeable batteries and the charger.

Another concern – the camera does not come with memory card – as do most of the point and shoot camera. So be prepared to buy a 2 GB SD Card ( 4 GB will be better if you plan to use it a lot for Videos).

Kodak C195 digital camera comes with image stabilization for still photography, so you don’t have to worry blurring of photo due to camera shake.

The ISO sensitivity of EasyShare C195 ranges from 64-400 when set to Auto while one can manually set it up to 1000.

The camera comes with white balance as well.

Kodak EasyShare C195 equipped with  3 inch LCD screen, can shoot videos in VGA format  at 640 × 480 and with speed of  30fps. Incase of video there is only digital zoom no optical zoom. While recording video you will not get image stabilization feature unlike still photography.

The shutter speed  range include from ¼- 1/4000 th second so you can shoot  still object to moving object  even a bird flying in a sky, however lens specs and aperture is also comes as an important factor.

It can record still photography in JPEG/EXIF v2.21

When comes to storage  Kodak Easyshare C195 comes with 32MB internal memory. The memory is offered in SD/SDHC card expansion slot

Finally, Kodak EasyShare C195  is 14 effective megapixels  camera 1/2.3-inch CCD sensor and has  5X optical zoom .

Do you know ?

A higher megapixel does not necessarily translate into a better camera. The Image sensor size is more important parameter to look for when buying a camera – Read the Megapixel Myth and the importance of Camera Sensor Size.

It is affordable camera with good optical zoom. The dimension and weight are pocket-friendly as well that is 3.8 × 2.4 × 1.2 in. and 177g including battery and card.

The optical zoom of EasyShare C195 provides 35-165mm in 35mm film formats. The display on the back side of the camera is pretty well with 3-inches at a resolution of 230k pixels. Kodak’s scene/subjecting recognizing Smart Capture technology and one-touch Share button  which Kodak highlight more than anything  is very useful for uploading pictures to social networking sites and also video shootings.

The C195 Digital camera comes with preinstalled scene settings which ranges from portraits to landscapes, including fireworks, snow, beach and baby modes, self portrait, sports, panorama. The camera is  good for beginner as well. So we can conclude that at $79  is not a bad deal.
