However, you have seen nothing yet as the unveiling of the new 2012 Chevrolet Suburban is bound to take things to a whole new level. To get a closer look into the features of this new vehicle release, you can get more details below.

The Suburban series has had a long history that dates back in 1935 when it was introduced into the market way before the SUV genre was even famous. It also gained the recognition for being one of the largest SUVs in the market with its full size covered wagon that has a large interior space that can accommodate passengers and luggages. However, the series has gone a long ways off since and the 2012 Chevrolet Suburban is bound to represent the peak of that long-running series.

The 2012 Chevrolet Suburban is a sports utility vehicle that have enough room to accommodate 6 to 9 passengers. There are two body types available here: half ton and ¾ ton. The real power of the 2012 Chevrolet Suburban lies beneath the hood, though. All half ton models of the SUV will be equipped with a 5.3-liter V8 engine that can produce up to 320 horsepower. Meanwhile, the default engine for the ¾ ton model is the 6.0-liter V8 engine with up to 352 horsepower. There are two options available for the transmission system, which are the six-speed manual and six-speed automatic. For safety and more efficient driving purposes, you can also get the following features: curtain side air bags, stability control, and anti-lock brakes. There are no data available yet for the fuel economy rating on this model as it has yet to be test driven.

Pro’s of 2012 Chevrolet Suburban

*Nice interior with a good set of features;

*Quality construction and build;

*Powerful engine capacity;

*Wide range of options for trim levels and body types.

Con’s of 2012 Chevrolet Suburban

*Fuel economy rating still unknown.

Pricing Details

No pricing information is available yet for the 2012 Chevrolet Suburban since announcements will be made shortly before the release of the model into the market.

The Bottom Line

The 2012 Chevrolet Suburban is one of the prime SUV models in the market today. Given that it has managed to survive several years in the market could attest to its quality and ability to deliver the kind of performance expected of it. All of that remains unchanged with this new model and you should certainly consider this if you are looking to buy an SUV.

AMD Turion II X2 N530 – dual core processor

August 29th, 2010 No comments

AMD Turion II N530 is a dual core processor with core frequency of 2.5 GHz. It is the step big brother of the AMD Turion II P520 which is a 2.3 GHz part. The Turion II N530 also consumes higher power – 35 Watts as compared to just 25 Watts by Turion II P520.

The Turion II N530 has integrated DDR3-1066 memory controller which makes the transfer between the processor and the memory ultra fast.

The transfer between the processor and the chipset is done using the HyperTransport Bus at 1800 MHz ( or 3600 Giga Transfer per second). The HyperTransport is a highly scalable differential bus with massive bandwidth. AMD has been the pioneer in the use of the differential bus for processor to processor and the processor to chip set communication. Intel has just followed the AMD’s footsteps with its newer processor interconnections.

The Turion II N530 processor offer serious competition to the similarly clocked Intel Core 2 processors.  The Intel processor at same clock speeds perform slightly better than the Turion processors. Also, the higher  cache memory in the Intel core 2 processors  gives it slight edge over the turion processors. The Turion II N530 has 2MB of cache ( 1 MB for each of the two cores).

So it all boils down to the pricing. If you get AMD’s Turion II N530 at somewhat lower price compared to the similarly clocked intel core 2 processr, it is still a good deal.

If you are a notebook buyer, your may like to make a comparison with the overall pricing of the similarly clocked core 2 processor based notebook. A cheaper Turion II N530 based  processor may not be a bad choice.

Manufactured on 45nm technology AMD Turion II N530 has 64 bit support and fits in S1 socket. The manufacturer part number for the  Turion II N530 is TMN530DCR23GM. The benchmarking numbers are not yet available. There are not many notebooks coming with the Turion II N530 processors.  Among the few that are available with the Turion II  N530 processor include  HP Pavilion 16 dv6z.

The comparable intel processors that you may like to consider  include Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 ( 2 GHz, 3MB Cache),  Intel Core Duo T2700( 2.33 GHz, 2 MB Cache).
