– Moderate cost, entry level to moderate performance with core i3-380M processor

Dell I14R-1296PBL Cons

– Not suitable for gaming
– Its screen is 14 inch ( not really a cons – it is designed for mobility)
– Not suitable for high end computing.

Dell I14R-1296PBL is available at Best buy for $599 ( at the time of writing) and could be a good choice as a gift for your boy friend on a Valentine day. Its 14 inch Display has bright display as its lacklight is lit by LED. The display has a resolution of 1366 x 768. Dell I14R-1296PBL comes with a DVD writer that is useful, if you want to install any software that comes on DVD.

Even with the low cost, the notebook comes with Integrated 1.3 MP webcam and has most of the features that you expect in an entry level notebook. It has 2 USB sockets, a 7 in one digital media reader ( useful to transfer photos from your digital camera). The wired and the wireless networking features are good, though, they come with every notebook, that come today. On the down side Dell I14R-1296PBL does not not has a powerful graphics capability – at least not good enough to play modern games in their mid or high resolution. It graphics is driven by the Intel HD graphics, which is embedded graphics in the Intel core i3 processor.
