Fiat Linea- A Successful Indian Car

Fiat India, now a part of successful Tata Motors, was very much ambitious when it announced the Fiat Linea, a midsized sedan. With somewhat better styling and loads of features it definitely turns around a lot of heads on the street. With various versions available in petrol and diesel, it is bound to make the competition a little tougher for other midsized cars.

Fiat Linea is classified as a midsize sedan with four door and Italian style design. Fiat Linea comes with the choice of two versions of engines. Petrol engine is the assembly of 1368cc and 1.4 liter fire petrol engine possessing the capacity to generate power of 90bhp at 6000 RPM and torque of 115Nm at 4500 RPM. This engine is designed to produce the mileage of 12Kmpl on city streets and 16 kmpl on highways.  Diesel version of engine comes with the assembly of 1248cc and 1.3 liter Multijet diesel engine gaining the power to produce 85bhp at 4000 RPM and the 203NM torque at 2500 RPM. This diesel engine gives even better performance with the mileage of 14Kmpl in city and 19Kmpl on highways. These engines come paired with five speed manual transmission gearbox. With 1.4 liter petrol engine acceleration is marked to the highest speed of 165 Km/h and with 1.3 liter Mulitjet diesel engine acceleration crosses the highest speed of 170 Km/h.

The Exterior of Fiat Linea is designed to offer stylish sleek looks with aggressive nose embedded with grille front. The muscular wheel arches are fitted with a set of 15 inch alloy wheels and the choice to even opt for steel wheels. The wheels will come with tubeless tyres which are puncture resistant. The car is furnished with four doors loaded with tinted glass power windows. The architecture is based on 2603 mm of wheelbase. The Fiat Linea will come groomed up with five colours like Flamingo Red, Hip Hop Black, Vocal white, Magnesium Grey and Perla Champagne.

Fiat Linea comes with lavish designed spacious interiors. The interiors look stylish with two tone combination (beige and black). It comes with adjustability to driver’s seat to command over the vehicle. The rear seats are associated with arm-rest which is equipped with the cup holder and a tray. It facilitates to choose the fabrics of seat among the available three options.  Additionally, the bold dashboard is furnished with leather wrapped tilted steeling wheel mounted with Bluetooth and audio control to control music and phone chat with distracting from driving, 12V power socket and air conditioning system. It is the first Indian car launched with this unique feature. Additionally, Fiat Linea is equipped with a wide array of safety features comprising of antilock disc brakes, Electric brakes disbursement which offers stability in slippery conditions. The safety features also adds up to a range of airbags to prevent internal collision, speed limit indicator, fire control system, anti-theft mechanism, daytime running headlights and the computer controlled open door indicator which help to exactly spot the door that has remained unlocked.

The Fiat Linea will appear in the market by October 2010 with the price range of Rs.6,49,708 to Rs.8,78,618. The buyers with price and class consciousness should try out the option of Fiat Linea.
