Punto, an intelligent outcome of Italy based auto manufacturing company, labelled as supermini cars. Fiat Punto has been launched in India through a partnership between Italy’s chief automobile manufacturer and India’s foremost trusted Tata Motors.  The first generation Punto was seen on roads by middle of 2005. Realising the popularity of a small family car, Fiat India Automobile has come up with its latest version of Punto known as Fiat Punto 90 HP.

Fiat Punto India is classified as a B segment diesel based sports car with a hatchback gaining sleek looks. The new design with hatchback is the added advantage to establish Punto in Indian market. Fiat Punto is offered with the choice among nine versions. The four versions are offered with diesel engines and the remaining five with petrol engine base. These petrol engines come in two choices – 1.2 liter and 1172cc petrol engine and the other with 1.4 liter and 1368cc petrol engine. The active version of Fiat Punto is powered with 1.2 liter and 1172cc FIRE petrol engine to generate the power of 68bhp at 6000 RPM and the torque of 96Nm at 2500 RPM.  Whereas, the diesel version of Fiat Punto gets its power through 1.3 liter and 1248cc Multijet Diesel Engine. This assembly generates power upto 76bhp at 4000 RPM and the torque of 197 Nm at 1750 RPM. 1.2 liter petrol engine has the capacity to accelerate and achieve the maximum speed of 155 Km/h.  On the other hand 1.4 liter petrol engine is designed to accelerate and achieve the highest speed of 178 km/h and the diesel engine is powered to accelerate upto maximum speed of 165 km/h.

Fiat Punto is perfectly designed with aggressive nose and grille front thereby offering stylish and bold looks. The strong wheel arches are furnished with a set of 15 inch alloy wheels featured with tubeless tyres. It comes dressed in six colours like Exotica Red, Hip Hop Black, Electric Blue, Medium Grey, Minimal Grey and Bossa White. The architecture is based on 2510 mm wheelbase.

The interiors of Fiat Punto are generously designed to offer greater comfort and the seats are facilitated with 60:40 split feature to further enhance the cargo floor if desired. The interior is spacious to offer sufficient legroom and headroom. Additionally, the classic dashboard is furnished with climate control mechanism, audio system loaded with MP3, FM with 6 speakers, USB port, iPod or mobile connectivity and advanced steering wheel mounted with audio system control. It is featured with rear view power mirror, foldable key etc. the car comes added with standard safety features like antilock disc brakes, electronic brake distribution system to increase safety on slippery conditions, fire prevention system, range of airbags, Fiat code system as antitheft system and child safety seat.

Fiat Punto with 1.4 liter FIRE petrol engine offers better mileage of 12Kmpl in city and 16Kmpl on highways. On the other hand 1.3 liter Multijet diesel engine offers the mileage of 14Kmpl on city streets and 19Kml on highways.
