@ Ida- I bought Medieval from walmart and installed it on medium settings with 256mg on this intergrated chip on my acer aspire laptop and it works perfectly fine… it does lag on the ultra timing in the game though but works fine otherwise.

i bought a mother board with this igp onboard last week. Before it i used to play games on my acer notebook with it’s radeon x1100 igp. I think i dont have to tell the difference of them, its like i entered a new dimension. Wow!!! Was the first word, the second was the same when i saw the clock speed (980mhz) i dont want to play high in resolution but i want to play the games of the last five years! So games like crysis warhead and dead space etc… Will run great with this chip and you have enough time to save money to a better discrete card.

I have a Asrock 880g extreme 3 motherboard, so its a desktop pc.
As i said it has a radeon HD4250 igp wich runs at 560mhz in default clock with 128mb ddr3 1333 dedicated sideport ram.
But i enabled Asrock’s turbo 50 option in bios and the gpu speed has increased to 980mhz and i changed the sideport memory to system memory wich is now 512mb DDr3 1600mhz 128 bit
The motherboard has heatpipe coolling so its runs at max 50c° in overclock mode!
Crysis 2 runs at high settings in 800×600 res well! 😀
But i going to buy a radeon card and i can use the HD4250 with hybrid crossfire!

I have the HD 4250 as onboard on my Asus motherboard. Let me be perfectly clear here.

This is an excellent offering from ATI. It WILL play A LOT of games from the past 5 yrs on low to medium settings (depending on amount of RAM, and CPU you have).

You can achieve a great game-play experience with the 4250 with older games (2006-2010 or so) ONLY if your processor is somewhat powerful (at least a quad core) and you have AT LEAST 4 GB of DDR3 RAM. Otherwise, the 4250 ends up doing all the work on it’s own and will fail you for most modern gaming.

For an onboard GPU, the 4250 is a beast. Of course, there is waaay better discrete cards out there, but for temporary needs, it will serve you well. I have played Crysis, Modern Warfare, Area 51, Unreal, Assassin’s Creed, Burnout Paradise, Gears of War and Mass Effect with this GPU. All on medium settings and a medium (NOT LOW) resolution. Am just saying…

    My specs:

    MoBo: Asus M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3/HDMI
    CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 970 3.5 Ghz (oc’ed to 4.0 GHz)
RAM: 8 GB of G. Skill Sniper Series DDR3 1333
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 4250 w/ 128 MB of SidePort DDR3
HSF: CoolerMaster Gemin II S524 CPU Cooler
PSU: Corsiar Enthusiast Series TX750 750 watt
    HDD: Samsung 160 GB SSD
HDD: Seagate 2 TB 7200 RMP
Case: Azza Solano 1000R Full Tower
Optical: Asus Dual Layer DVD Burner
Monitor: Acer 23″ Slim Design LED-LCD
