Gateway NV55C35U Review

All the laptop addicts out there must be waiting for something new to come. Here comes a brand new product from Gateway named Gateway NV55C35U. This laptop has some good features that are bound to catch your attention along with its price tag which is only 380 dollars. The dimensional measure of the laptop is 10” X 15” X 1.3”.The weight of the laptop is 5.7 pounds. So it is comes under slightly heavier laptop.

Now let us come to know about its specifications. Gateway NV55C35U has a display screen which measures to 15.6 inches. It has Intel Pentium processor and supports Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium. The screen is TFT-LCD, thus, providing great high definition view possible. Looking at the laptop is not at all tiring to your eye as you get a widescreen picture with Ultrabright technology. The resolution provided is 1366 X 768. The screen aspect ratio is, however, 16:9 and native support is available for 720p HD content. Intel Graphics drives the screen and so there is 64-1696 MB shared video memory dynamically allocated.

The CPU that makes the laptop to function is Intel Pentium P6100. The intel dual core processor is built using the well known micro architectural engineering by Westmere. This is really famous worldwide and needs no introduction at all. 3MB of  L3 cache included in the laptop runs at 2 GHz speed each. The laptop is inculcated with 3GB DDR3 memory which can be expanded to 8 GB as and when required. This huge memory availability gives many applications of your choice, a place in your laptop.

The hard drive that is incorporated in this laptop is 250GB serial ATA (SATA) rotating at 5400 RPM frequency. The disk space is quite small and but fast enough like most others available in the market. The optical drive that comes with it has multiformat like DVD+-RW/ CD-RW drive with double layered support. The memory cards compatible to this product are restricted to SD and MMC cards.

The external ports that are available with GATEWAY NV55C35U are 3USB 2.0 ports, 1 HDMI port, one VGA port, one headphone and one microphone port. You can enjoy high definition audio experience from its inbuilt speakers. The sensitive touchpad is present to monitor your cursor. You networking option is highly catered to. The built in 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN adaptor is highly accessible to your wired web connection by setting the connection through RJ-45 port. Wireless option is there too as it has a standard 802.11b/g/n adaptor. Chatting experience becomes more sensational when you switch on your integrated webcam provided in this laptop. Windows 7 Home Premium is already installed in it with many other applications like Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash Player, Cyberlink Power DVD.
