Gliese 581D – the new planet with life ?
Gliese 581d ( sometimes in correctly written as 58id, and sometimes incorrectly written as Gilese) is the new planet that that was analysed by French team. The planet orbits round a red dwarf star about 20 light years away from the earth. The 581d is about twice as big a the earth. In earlier analyses, scientist were disinterested from Gliese 581d as one of its was was presumably permanently away from the star rendering it too cold for life. On later analysis, they found that he heat from the star belonging to the 581d is hotter than they earlier assumed and this made the heat penetrate and make it warmer than they earlier believed.
The winds carry the heat to the colder parts of the Gliese and this makes it more warm.
For the life to exist on a planet it has to be of the right size, in right temperature zone ( not too close or too far from star). Scientist say that the size of the planet has to be between size of the earth to thrice its size. Recent studies about planets suggest that there are more planets that potentially has life.
