Now that you are ready to dance, you have several options to choose from, such as a Quick Workout, which is where you can pick and choose short workout segments. Once you are ready for a longer workout you can choose from My Workout in which you will have a choice of Select Workout, which is premade or you can create a custom workout by selecting the create workout from the menu. Each one of the groups has workouts ranging from tutorials to expert.
When you are ready to work out, you are not alone. On the DVD you have a trainer along with two other people. This makes the atmosphere look and feel like an aerobics class. When you look to the left of the trainer you will see a meter that will judge how well you are performing the moves. You will see the words “miss”, “OK”, or “great.” You will hear the instructions from the trainer and to the right of the trainer you will see a silhouetted avatar that will appear and show you the upcoming moves.
For Latin dancing, you can start out with some tutorials to learn the basic moves. Some of these dances will include the Salsa, Cumbia, and Samba. As it progresses from tutorial to expert, the dancer moves go faster and become more complicated.
When you do Cardio boxing, it is a lot of boxing moves such as hooks, jabs, and upper cuts. These are combined with kickboxing routines and can be very fast paced. With the Cardio boxing, and the Latin dance moves, the balance board is not necessary. It is necessary if you want to play the mini games, which help you to strengthen your muscles playing some of these fun games. They include mini games such as bull riding, karate, rowing, kangaroo boxing, and more. These mini game sessions can last up to 30 minutes. The Gold’s Gym Dance Workout is set up so you do not have all the fun dancing and exercising along. It is set up so you and a friend can do the routines together.
