It is now past New Year’s Day and all the resolutions that you have made on that day have either been forgotten or just put off for another day. It is now time to remember and to not put it off for another day. If you need another incentive, try to put those jeans on you wore last year and can no longer fasten. Slip on some comfortable clothes, slip on your tennis shoes, and drag the Nintendo Wii to the living room. It is hard at times to get motivated to exercise, but if it is fun then it seems easier. A good exercise DVD to exercise to and have fun doing it is to use Gold’s Gym Dance Workout for Nintendo Wii.

This work out is based around Latin dances, mini-games, and cardio boxing. In addition, you also need to have a Wii controller and Wii balance board. On the dance workout there are over 30 songs ranging from Latin style music to popular dance. When you use if for the first time, it will ask you to set up a profile such as your sex, age, and weight and then you are ready to dance and exercise. The workout gives you the option of using one or two remote controllers. If you use a remote in each hand, it will make tracking easier.
Now that you are ready to dance, you have several options to choose from, such as a Quick Workout, which is where you can pick and choose short workout segments. They range in time from two to five minutes. If you are just starting out, this would be the first segment you should try. Start slow and work up to the longer dances/exercises.
Once you are ready for a longer workout you can choose from My Workout in which you will have a choice of Select Workout, which is premade or you can create a custom workout by selecting the create workout from the menu. Each one of the groups has workouts ranging from tutorials to expert.
When you are ready to work out, you are not alone. On the DVD you have a trainer along with two other people. This makes the atmosphere look and feel like an aerobics class. When you look to the left of the trainer you will see a meter that will judge how well you are performing the moves. You will see the words “miss”, “OK”, or “great.” You will hear the instructions from the trainer and to the right of the trainer you will see a silhouetted avatar that will appear and show you the upcoming moves.
For Latin dancing, you can start out with some tutorials to learn the basic moves. Some of these dances will include the Salsa, Cumbia, and Samba. As it progresses from tutorial to expert, the dancer moves go faster and become more complicated.

When you do Cardio boxing, it is a lot of boxing moves such as hooks, jabs, and upper cuts. These are combined with kickboxing routines and can be very fast paced. With the Cardio boxing, and the Latin dance moves, the balance board is not necessary. It is necessary if you want to play the mini games, which help you to strengthen your muscles playing some of these fun games. They include mini games such as bull riding, karate, rowing, kangaroo boxing, and more. These mini game sessions can last up to 30 minutes. The Gold’s Gym Dance Workout is set up so you do not have all the fun dancing and exercising along. It is set up so you and a friend can do the routines together.
The game is designed to store the player’s exercise history, calories burned, and body mass index in the game. This makes it easy for players to track their fitness and weight loss progress as they move4 towards their personal fitness goals.
If you have made loosing weight and exercising a part of your New Year’s resolution, this is the fun way to do it in the privacy of your home. No longer do you have to go to the gym, or exercise at a certain time of the day. Gold’s Gym Dance Workout by Nintendo Wii is designed for you and all others who want to exercise in the privacy of their own home.
