how to identify fake Rs.500 and Rs.1000 indian currency notes

Mr. Munna Tripathi from Azamgarh asks starredreviews.com

Hi frends, Yesterday I went to PSU bank to take one demand draft. While counting the notes, they detected 3 fake 1000 Rupee notes in the cash which I had given. They didn’t return the notes back to me and instead they burnt the notes then and there infront of my eyes. So I lost Rs. 3000 simply for no fault of mine. So can anyone tell me how to detect fake 500 Rs note and fake 1000 Rs note easily in the section without observing it thoroughly. I know one method to identify the fake notes is thickness of the note. But is there any other easier method to detect it ?

Here are some ways to detect a fake Rs. 500 and fake Rs 1000 note.

    Using the Optical Variable Ink

The colour of the 1000 changes from green to blue when the position of the note is changed from flat to an angle angle. The font size is also reduced as we rotate the currency. Changing color is the most important way of detecting the Rs 1000 fake.

    Latent Image

When the note is head horizontally, the vertical band on the right shows an image of the number 1000

    Security Thread

The note also has a three millimeter wide security thread with the inscriptions: one thousand, the word ‘Bharat’ in Hindi and RBI

    Microlettering

The ‘RBI’ and the numeral, “1000″ – which can be viewed with the help of a magnifying glass – are between the Mahatma Gandhi portrait and the vertical band

    Watermark

When the note is held against the light, the picture of Gandhi and an electrolyte mark showing the number 1000 appear in the white space

    identification of indian fake notes

generally, fake notes can be found out by using certain method or techniques:
wire of notes: in every notes small wire is seen but most probably in the fake note there will be no wire inside it.
likewise there is a small image of country’s head of the states or primeminister. in the fake notes it is not found.

  15. Anoop says:

You can simply rub the right corner of the note in a white paper if the color comes in the paper than its original If not it is duplicate.
