This review applies to the model KX868AT of the HP 2133 Mini-Note PC. The HP 2133 offers all the functionality of a laptop and it weighs just 2.8 pounds. This netbook provides extreme mobility, possibly, at the expense of a high performance.
The display is a small 8.9-inch LCD with WXGA resolution. I does feature almost a full-size keyboard (92 percent).
Processor
The HP 2133 Mini-Note PC is powered by VIA C7-M ULV (ultra-low voltage) processor at 1.2 GHz speed. It has 800 MHz front-side bus (FSB) and a 128 KB L2 cache. The VIA C7-M is consumes less than 1W of power and and is being used in the lowe power devices. The VIA power save technology further saves power buy using dynamic voltage and frequency setting. If you are not doing any high performance computing the processor frequency as well as voltage is reduces, saving power.
Memory
The 1 GB of installed RAM (1 x 1024 MB, PC2-5300) offers a top-of-class 667 MHz speed. This notebook has a maximum capacity of 2 GB of RAM.
Hard Drive
HP 2133 Mini-Note PC comes with The 120 GB hard drive (5400 RPM). The hard drive is Serial ATA (SATA) based is has decent speed. It does include a HP’s 3D DriveGuard. The drivegaurd shuts down the hard drive if it recognizes sudden movement or shock by using a 3-axis accelerometer chip – the same kind of accelrometers used in wii games.
DVD/CD Drive
It is very important to realize that the HP 2133 Mini-Note PC does NOT come with an optical drive. You may use optional drives that connect the optional HP External MultiBay II. This may be the main reason why you may not want to buy HP 2133 Mini-Note PC

The unit comes with 8.9-inch display has a 1280 x 768-pixel resolution. This gives out 720p high-resolution. It also has VGA output which you can use to connect to an external monitor or projector. The graphics is powered by the integrated Via Chrome 9 video/graphics card,

Issues and Concerns
The 2133 Mini-Note PC generates a lot of heat heat that you will feel at the bottom. The speed could be an issue if you wish to run several programs in background. If your windows dies if you are not tech savvy you may have issues with reinstallation of Windows since this one does not come with CD or DVD.
