HP Pavilion DM4-1265DX Review – core i5-460M laptop

HP Pavilion DM4-1265DX laptop is a powerful machine with ultimate battery backup. This laptop is priced quite reasonably and powered through Intel Core i5-460M processor. This is a dual-core processor and comes with four processing threads for the effective performance. This processor is clocked at 2.53GHZ and it can be boosted up to 2.8GHz through its special TurboBoost technology. This processor uses HM55 Express Chipset too. All these features are clearly indicating the effective performance of the processor. This laptop comes with an integrated Intel HD Graphics card. This laptop got 4G WiMax technology and Intel Wireless Display technology. All these performance features and advanced technologies are making this laptop a reasonably priced one for all.

Intel Core i5-460M Processor Details:

This Intel Core i5-460M processor is clocked at 2.53 GHz. This processor is famous for its Turbo Boosting Technology with its two cores. Here, this Turbo Boost technology will cater to increase the frequency for a small period when situation demands more processing power. Through this turbo boosting technology, this processor can be overclocked up to 2.8 GHz. This Intel Core i5-460M is completely based on the Arrandale architecture and manufactured with 32 nm technology. Its graphics section is based and manufactured on 45 nm technology.

Graphics performance with this processor is decent, but not great like current and latest Sandy Bridge processors. These Sandy Bridge processors are successful at offering double the graphics performance over the Arrandale architecture.

The best part with Intel Core i5-460M processor is its integrated memory controller and high speed differential DMI bus which communicates effectively with the chipset. Intel succeeded in introducing hyperthreading technology in i5 processors and this can enable four threads running simultaneously with it. Overall performance of this Intel Core i5-460M processor is far better than the earlier Core 2 processors which run at 2.8 GHz.
