HP Pavilion desktop PCs are famous for powerful performance and most of the people make their choice with this series. Now, there is a new model desktop PC added to this series as HP Pavilion P6754Y. This is a powerful machine with all the needed features. This machine is powered through AMD Athlon II X4 640 processor and motherboard is N-Alvorix-RS880-uATX. It has optical drive, 4GB RAM, 1TB hard drive, ATI Radeon 4200 Graphics, Wi-Fi wireless networking, 15-in-1 card reader and many more. This desktop price is quite reasonable when compared with its features.

AMD Athlon II X4 640 Processor Details:

AMD Athlon II X4 640 processor, that powers HP Pavilion P6754Y, is a Quad-Core processor and clocked at 3.0GHz.  It is based on the ‘Propus’ CPU die and comes with a 2000MHz HT link and supports DDR2 and DDR3 memory. The latest C3 CPU stepping is included in the processor, which is good for multi-threaded performance. It has 2MB of L2 Cache and lacking L3 Cache completely.  Its TDP rating is 95W.

This desktop motherboard is N-Alvorix-RS880uATX. Its chipset is AMD 785G and memory socket is 4 x DDR3. Its processor socket is AM3 with Front Side bus spped as 1333/1066/800MHz.

System memory and Hard drive:

HP Pavilion P6754Y comes with 4 GB DDR3 RAM. This system memory got a chance for expansion up to 8GB.

Hard drive of this desktop is 1TB capacity. It is a SATA drive rotates at 7200rpm and transfer rate is 3.0Gb/sec.

Optical drive:

HP Pavilion P6754Y PC comes with a SuperMulti DVD burner. This drive can read and write CDs and DVDs in multiple formats with double-layer support.

Graphics:

    I just prurchased a HP Pavilion P6754Y and i had 2 gb of ddr2 memory made by crucial. After reading your article I decided to use the memory in this PC. the label on the ram indicates 1gb 240 pin 128mx64 ddr2 pc2-5. t omy dismay the memory did not fir in the slot. The tab did not line up. Please advise. thanks

    Is there any problem with installing a Geforce GTX 460 on with this or would a better processor need to go with it first?
