Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 Vs Core i3-2100 Comparison

Core 2 Duo E7500 Vs Core i3-2100 by Starred Reviews

The core i3-2100 is clocked (slightly) higher, belongs to the newer second generation core i3 processor and is significantly faster than the core 2 Duo 7500.

Additionally core i3-2100  has integrated graphics which is good for entry level to medium level gaming requirements.  There is no integrated graphics in the Core 2 Duo E7500. The integrated GPU may help reduce the overall system cost by not requiring an additional graphics card.

Some more details of Core 2 Duo E7500

The Core 2 Duo E7500 is slightly overpriced compared to the performance is provides ( $113 according to Intel, at the time of writing). We have some sub $100 Athlon ii quad cores processors that can easily beat E7500 in performance. The lack of Integrated Memory controller chokes the processor to memory communication. Overclockers may be able to get some more juice out of it.

Some more details of Core i3-2100

The Core i3-2100 is the second generation Intel Core i3 processor improving significantly upon the architecture that evolved from Arrandale. Although turbo boost is not available in the core i3-2100 ( The newer turbo 2.0 technology, that increases the time for which processor can be in the boosted state, is available only on the second generation core i5 and i7 processors), the processor still shows significant performance improvement over similarly clocked 1st generation core i3 processor. The more significant improvement has been in the area of integrated graphics unit.
