TheIntel Core i5-480M belongs to the 1st generation core i5 processor which has been improved upon by the core i5-2410M – the latest second Core i5 processor, more popular known as Sandy Bridge processor.

The embedded graphics in the second generation core i5-2410M is significantly improved as compared to the 1st generation embedded graphics in core i5-480M ( By an order of x2). Also, the new turbo boost 2.0, leads to better turbo boost performance in the core i5-2410. The new turbo boost 2.0 can keep the boosted frequency for a longer duration, improving the performance.

    3d mark 06 score is missing

    480M score is about 2950
