Intel Core I5-750 Vs core I5-760 comparison and difference

The Intel Core i5-750 and the core i5-760 are both quad core moderate to high performance desktop processors. They share most of the common features, including 8 MB of shared L3 cache ( Intel call its smart cache).

The only difference between the core i5-750 and the i5-760 is in the clock frequency and the turbo clock frequency. The clock frequency of the core i5-760 is 2.8 GHz as compared to 2.66 GHz of core i5-750. With and increase of the frequency of 5.2%, we should expect performance improvement of the order of 5%.

The Turbo frequency of the core i5-750 is 3.2 GHz while that of the core i5-760 is 3.33 GHz. Again, an improvement, roughly of 5%.

Intel indicates a list price of $196 for core i5-750 while the list price of core i5-769 is $205.
