Intel Pentium Dual Core T4500 processor
Intel Pentium Dual Core T4500 processor is a two core processor with a nominal clock frequency of 2.3 GHz, improving upon the frequency of the Dual core T4400 by 100 MHz. The Pentium T4400 is rarely seen on notebooks and the T4500 has taken up the spot, and is seen in low cost notebooks. The Intel Dual core T4500 does not support the Hyperthreading as in the earlier Pentium 4 processors. Intel did re introduce Hyperthreading with its newer core i3 and core i5 processors.
The Dual core T4500 processor does not has integrated memory controller. It communicates with the North Bridge chipset using Front side bus at 800 MHz. The lack of the integrated memory controller leads to increased memory latency and slow performance. The newer intel i3 , i5 and i7 processors have integrated memory controllers which leads to small memory latency and better performance. AMD was leader in the integrated memory controller based design and this is one reason for the popularity of the AMD processors.

Built with 45 nm technology, the Dual core T4500 has a TDP rating of 35 Watts which most common TDP rating for notebook processors.
Starredreviews compiled a list of the most popular notebooks and the processor used in its report on September 11, 2010, and two of the notebooks features in the 20 list -Ideapad G550 2958-9PU and HP G62-220US. It just goes on to prove that the Dual core processor is still popular with the notebook manufacturers. Could it be due to its low cost and the inventory available at intel ?
