Intel SU7300 Core 2 Duo Processor

October 24th, 2010

The Intel SU7300 Core 2 Duo Processor has a nominal core frequency of 1.3 GHz and has 2 cores. Hyperthreading is not supported in the Intel SU7300 Core 2 Duo Processor, which means that there could be at the most 2 threads running at a time – one for each core.

Intel SU7300 Core 2 Duo Processor possess a decent 3 MB of L3 Cache, the intel calls smart cache. The large amount of the cache, helps the intel architecture overcome the problem of memory latency. The intel Intel SU7300 processors do not have integrated memory controller unlike the AMD processors or the recent intel core i3 and core i5 processors.

The best part of the Intel SU7300 Core 2 Duo Processor is its low TDP rating of just 10 Watts. Manufactured with 45 nm technology, the Intel SU7300 processor is based upon the Penryn architecture.

Some of the available benchmarks indicate that SU7300 take 34 seconds for the Super Pi 1Million and close to 78 seconds with the Super Pi 2M. This score is apparently better than the score of the AMD Turion II new L625 processor (clocked at 1.6 GHz).

Intel SU7300 Core 2 Duo Processor is best for the low power and high battery life notebook and netbooks while keeping a decent performance.

Some of the notebooks and netbooks seen with the Intel SU7300 processor include Viewsonic VNB141, ASUS UL30VT-X1K and ASUS UL30VT-X1, HP – tm2t TABLET PC and Lenovo Ideapad U450P and U350.
