MSI Mainstream A6200-248US is a 15.6 inch notebook powered by the Intel Pentium P6000 dual core processor clocked at 1.86 GHz. It has 3 GB of RAM and 320 GB of hard disk.  Amazon and some other regular stores have this notebook at $524 or close to that price and starredreviews believe that there could be some better notebooks in that price. However, people have found this notebook in deals at price around $400 or a little higher, and the notebook is certainly worth $400 to $450.

The Pentium P6000 does not has the hyperthreading as in the core i3 processor.  At 1.86 GHz this processor should be good enough for your home computing needs. If you are looking for higher processing power, you may like to explore the core i5 processors from Intel or the AMD’s phenom ii mobile processors.
