pocket-lint.com recovers from Google Panda
For those looking for websites recovering from google panda hit – pocket-lint.com is another site that they should look for. Take a look at their quantcast traffic data.
The global traffic, that hover around 50K per day pre panda period ( Look at January to February Data) was down to around 30K per day after International version of Panda Hit in April. The pocket-lint.com, has seen a recovery starting Mid June and seems to have fully recovered from Google Panda post Mid June period.
Pocket-lint is tech niche that writes about Anroid , iphone, the latest operating system releases. For example their latest topic is about “iOS 4.3.4 OS update for iPad and iPhone”. This is obviously, a niche where a large number of players exist and this is simple one of the fields where a huge number of sites have been hit. Anyone can just read and start doling out the rewritten content about iOS xyz update etc.
Pocket-lint contents are not long ones. A typical write up is typically 200 to 300 words long. They also do not seem to rank well for the terms like “iOS 4.3.4 update for iPhone” ( without quotes). Their content is obviously not adding any value to the pool of existing contents available on other websites.
Pocket-lint do seem to have written original as is evident from the logo of their website emdedded into the screen shot. But that does not justify that they are really adding value to the pool of the information.
Another example of thin but not so thin content is the “Samsung Galaxy S II Windows Phone 7 outed by Microsoft”. The wording do not seem to be as impressive. The article posted at http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/41009/new-samsung-windows-phone-7-phone-outed is a pass time read at the best.
The fact that pocket-lint is able to come out of the Panda gives some ray of hope to other website owners.
Update : Honeymoon ( See the comment) pointed out that the website has lost again.
