Sony VAIO E-Series laptops are always a great interest for many people. Now, there is another model credited to this series as Sony VAIO VPCEA31EN. This laptop runs on the Intel Pentium P6100 processor that is clocked 2.0 GHz. Importantly, Sony laptops are always famous for the display and this laptop display is powered through latest Intel HD graphics and assuring better entertainment experience. This laptop got Intel Graphics Chips which will enable a user to watch Blu-Ray movies and lets playing of few latest 3D games too. There is one-touch Quick Web Access button for this laptop. This laptop is priced quite reasonable for its features. It has Bluetooth Standard Ver 2.1 + EDR. It has integrated 0.3-megapixel web camera. This laptop got 3-hours battery backup which is quite decent.

Intel Pentium P6100 Processor Details:

 This Intel Pentium P6100, that powers Sony VAIO VPCEA31EN  is an entry level processor for notebooks. This processor is clocked at 2.0 GHz. This processor cannot support TurboBoost for automatically overclocking. But, this is lacking AES instructions and hyperthreading. This processor also supports the Speedstep and for this it lost other power saving feature.

 This P6100 performance is far better than its predecessor Celeron P4600. Its faster system bus is the major reason for this improved performance with P6100. Its increased Level 3 Cache is added advantage for this processor performance. Remember that there is no VT-X for this processor.

This processor gained integrated memory controller and Intel HD Graphics graphics card through its Arrandale architecture. Its low clock rate will let this processor to perform at low. The lack of Hyperthredaing and TurboBoost is another disadvantage for the performance of this processor.
