Final thought
The ultra thin 14” ViewSonic VNB141 notebook is good for travelers or who has to move frequently. Though from manufacturer’s point of view it is aimed at student community but in that case, I think, they should have considered putting more battery life. Overall Specification is also fair. Price wise it is overpriced. If it were available at 150$-200$ cheaper than its current price, then I think it should have been more realistic.

AMD refuses to give up giving tough fight to Intel. I have this Toshiba Satellite T135D notebook in my hand. More reviews coming up.
When it’s comes to buying a laptop or a notebook one can not ignore Toshiba. Now Toshiba has added a new model to it’s thin and light satellite T135 notebook series. T135D is integrated with AMD dual core processor and is powered by ATI Graphics. Now question is why should one buy Toshiba satellite T135D with AMD processor over Intel integrated Toshiba T135?
The Build and Specification of Toshiba 135D are as following
Toshiba Satellite T135D is powered by 1.6-GHz AMD Turion Neo X2 L625 processor and is integrated with expandable 4GB/8GB RAM. This 3.8 pounds ultra-portable laptop has Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) as operating system. With ATI Graphics and resolution of 1366 x 768, this backlit 13.3 inches Toshiba 135D laptop provides optimum picture quality for better gaming. However, if you try to view in sunlight then its glossy screen might create some problem due to reflection.

Toshiba Satellite T135D
Build wise both Toshiba satellite 135 and 135D are similar with glossy outlook. Also, the fine checkered pattern enriches its looks. One can choose the model between red, black and white colors.
The keyboard of both Toshiba satellite T135 and T135D are similar and comfortable to use.
The multi touch touchpad of Toshiba satellite, having size 3.2 x 1.6, has enough width compared to its height. So, one can move comfortably in horizontal direction while he might feel little obstacle moving vertically.
Toshiba Satellite T135D comes with 3 USB ports along with LAN, audio jack and VGA and HDMI ports.
It also incorporates Kensington Lock slot.
Battery life of Toshiba satellite T135D is, however, not very impressive and runs approx 6 hours only.
Performance wise Toshiba satellite T135D is better than intel based Toshiba satellite T135 as it is faster than the later. It is integrated with ATI graphics which is definitely good when it comes to gaming. Price wise it is cheaper by $100 than its counterpart Toshiba satellite T135 so I prefer it over T135.
Pros
Toshiba satellite is good performance wise.
Keyword is user friendly.
Price is reasonable.
Cons
Average battery life.
Have some heat related issues.
Final thought
Buying ultra-thin Toshiba satellite T135D at $599 is worth the money as it provides great performance and better graphics. Even though battery life of this AMD integrated Toshiba’s ultra thin model is not up to the mark still it makes sense to invest in it.
