Toshiba Satellite C655D-S5138 Laptop Review

Toshiba is introducing Satellite C655D series with AMD’s Fusion processors. This APU is special for low power consumption, low cost and APU will come with on-die graphics too. This C655D E-series laptops are famous for low cost and improved battery backup through AMD’s Fusion processors. Now, there is one more powerful notebook added to this series as Toshiba Satellite C655D-S5138. This laptop is powered through AMD E-240 processor along with 4B RAM, 320GB had drive, AMD Integrated graphics and many more. Importantly, this is an inexpensive laptop with decent features and affordable for all.

Inside Details of AMD Fusion Series E-240 APU:

This AMD E Series E-240 APU has one core and this core got integrated graphics AMD Radeon HD 6310 graphics along with 384 MB-947 MB shared memory within a single die.  Here, this processor core runs with 1.5GHz frequency along with 512KB of L2 cache. The entire unit is fabricated with 32nm technology. This technology is capable enough to save battery life and offers long hours working with less power consumption. The major idea behind the usage of AMD Fusion E Series processor is mainly to cut the costs. Here, this lowering of the costs will not affect the performance of the system. Also, it helps to make it thinner too. Importantly, this AMD E Series E-240 accelerated processor has greater compatibility with MocrososftX11 and arranged with integrated memory controller too.  Its GPU is capable enough to process 1080p content and has HDMI out too.

This system is arranged with 4B DDR3 RAM and this can be increased up to 4 GB successfully down the line.

Its hard drive is of capacity 320 GB hard drive. This is a HDD and rotates at 5400 rpm.

Toshiba Satellite C655D-S5138 comes with 15.6-inches screen of 1366 x 768 pixels resolution. The display type is LCD. It has integrated graphics AMD Radeon HD 6310 graphics along with 384 MB-947 MB shared memory within a single die.

    on your review of the Toshiba C655D-S5138, you mention that one of the pros is the fact that it has a HDMI output port. Can you confirm that statement?
    So far I could not verify that information with Toshiba.

    I own this model Toshiba laptop and there is no HDMI port on it.
