Toshiba Satellite L675D-S7106 Review – Notebook

Toshiba Satellite L675D-S7106 is a 17.3 inch notebook powered by the AMD’s Phenom ii Triple-Core Processor P860, clocked nominally at 2.0 GHz . It comes with 4 GB RAM and 500 Giga Bytes of Hard Disk. Toshiba lists Satellite L675D-S7106 on its website at $699.99, which we believe is commensurate the specifications it possess, including a fast triple core processor and large 17.3 inch screen. Among other notable features that this notebook comes with are the HDMI output that you can use to display the contents on an external LCD HDTV and the Blu Ray ROM.

The Toshiba notebook lists L675D-S7106 at $698.99 at the time of writing. We believe that the notebook pricing is commensurate to the specifications it offers. If your processing power needs are not high, you may like to take a look at the Satellite L675D-S7105, which is priced at $569 and comes with AMD’s Phenom ii P340 processor ( dual core 2.2 GHz). This is still a good processor for most of your needs. All other specifications are same ( the hard disk is slightly low at 320 GB in 7105).

Bottom Line

Starredreviews does recommend the Toshiba Satellite L675D-S7106 for its large screen, HDMI output and a modest processor. The price is just good for this specification. But if your processing needs are not high and you want less expensive option, Toshiba does give you smaller priced one in its L675D series. One or the other should satisfy your needs. You also get the Toshiba Brand, a respected name, possibly just behing Sony’s vaio. But then brand reliability and brand faith is also a matter of individual preference.     Be careful of letting this laptop get too hot. IE dont lay it on a soft surface. Mine got hot and now freezes up every couple seconds when I try to play games even after reinstalling windows 7 and switching out the ram. The CPU Needs to be replaced.

    Most of the newer games require minimal video settings to run on this laptop. not a good gamers choice. works ok if your on a budget and cant afford an Alienware. 🙂
