With the announcement of the CDMA version of the Verizon iPhone 4, it is expected that it will come with the Hotspot feature. This is a long awaited news for the iPhone lovers who have been longing to see the hotspot in their iPhones. There are many things that made iPhone users feel inferior as compared to their Android counterpart or the jailbroken iPhone users. The jailbroken iPhone comes with many applications like MyWi that allows user to use the iPhone as hotspot.

In the hotspot, upto typically 5 persons can access the internet from their notebook or computer via the data connection of the iPhone. This feature has been very helpful. Just think of the fact that you are travelling in a group in a Van with a notebook. One of your friends has a hotspot enabled phone. Five of your friends can now use the hotspot connection to keep working while you drive. So you stay connected while you are on the move. And not only this, you also allow your friends to be able to use the hotspot.

According to the reports from iPhoneClub and iPhoneHellas GSM iPhones will are also expected to follow the suite. This wfeaturee is expected after an update to the iOS 4.3 due sometimes later this year. Once this feature comes, the iPhone users will be able to connect 5 WiFi enabled notebooks to the iPhones 3G connection. Hopefully the news does not turn out to be false.

Unfortunately you will have to get an approval from the carriers, before you will be able to use the feature. A bad news. It is not sure whether the carriers will charge for this facility. We will have to wait for some times before we get some clarity on this front.
